Meet Michelle Kelly, LMFT 119787
I studied psychology in college with the intent to go straight to grad school, but life had other plans. I spent some time traveling and creating a life that, in many ways, felt like running from myself. It was through that process of reflection and self-discovery that I became clear on my values and desires, and I knew it was time to align my life with them. I went on to graduate school for clinical psychology, specializing in marriage and family therapy, and worked in treatment centers supporting women navigating substance use and eating disorders. In 2019, I opened my private practice as part of the Ludington Institute for Family Enrichment, where I continue to work with women navigating identity shifts, parenthood, and the weight of “not enoughness.” Alongside my clinical practice, I speak at schools, treatment centers, and workplaces to encourage students and staff with tools for coping, resilience, and hope.
I am trained in Postpartum Mental Health through Postpartum Support International, and I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Family Systems to support the unique needs of each person I work with.
I’m also a mother and wife, and these roles deepen the way I understand the world. Outside of work, I’m an avid reader (especially psychology and personal growth material), and I love arts and crafts. When I’m feeling overwhelmed or off balance, I recharge through breathwork, writing, and connecting with people, nature, or myself. I have a soft spot for sunrises, the ocean, and towering trees.
I’m a human first and I know how heavy it can feel to carry questions like, Why can’t I just be okay? Is change even possible? I show up with warmth, honesty, and zero judgment. If you’re looking for support that feels real and helps you move toward what truly matters to you, I’m here.
My Values:
Real: I show up authentically for myself and for my clients. I prioritize safety, trust, and choice, and I believe that meaningful change happens through genuine connection.
Reflective: My approach is thoughtful, present, and emotionally attuned. I believe you already hold the answers you need, and my role is the privilege of helping you uncover or remember them.
Liberating: Therapy is a path to self-empowerment. It’s about unlearning old patterns, embracing your freedom, and living a life that feels fully your own.
“If you don’t live your life, who will?”
